I ordered a serving of roasted duck with rice at the Or Tor Kor Market (Farmer's Market) in Bangkok, Thailand. The food court has several well-known shops that have featured on Thai TV, and this place is no exception!

A plate of rice was topped with tender and juicy duck meat. Sometimes duck meat can be a bit tough or gamey, but not so here! This was some of the most delicious roasted duck I've ever had in Bangkok!

The dish is served with a rich and sweet duck gravy, thick pieces of dark green kale, and a small cup of a spicy and sour vinegar-based sauce.

I like mixing everything together to get a rich and complex blend of flavors.

Price

A plate of duck with rice costs a reasonable 60 baht for a regular sized portion and 80 baht for large.

Location

Or Tor Kor Market, also called the Marketing Organization for Farmers, is one of my favorite markets in Bangkok. This massive farmers market is well organized, clean and hygienic, and is one of the best places to find the freshest produce, ingredients, and meat in the city. You can even find lots of things here that are more regional and often harder to find in Bangkok.

Prices here are a little higher than at other more local markets, but the high quality of the produce makes up for it.

Or Tor Kor Market is located at 101 Kamphaeng Phet Rd, Chatuchak, Bangkok 10900 at MRT Kamphaeng Phet Station, and is located just across the street from the legendary Chatuchak Weekend Market (JJ Market). If you're feeling adventurous, you can definitely visit both on the same day.
