Bánh tráng trộn or VIetnamese mixed rice paper, Old quarter of Hanoi
This famous street food can find on any corner of Hanoi's Old Quarter (mostly at night). I walked past small street-side stalls selling this snack many time, and it's always busy. Their tiny plastic stools where customers are seated are always full. The shop we visited has two menu but we weren't sure how to pronounce them, so instead of reading off of the sign, we just pointed it out on the picture.

And here we have it! Mixed rice paper. What is it mixed with?? Rice paper, quail egg, shredded mango, vegetables and herbs, dried shredded pork, and peanuts. It is topped with a sweet and sour dressing sauce. All of the flavors go so well together, and it's a great nighttime snack when you are out exploring Hanoi after dark. I love how the sweet and sour sauce mixes with the salty peanuts. It's so delicious, and they mix it up fresh for you with every order. It's so good and so cheap. One dish that is always worth money spent!
